Dottie Virginia Flick

Dottie Virginia Blunck Flick was the daughter of Edward and Dottie (Bringham) Blunck, founders of Blunck Studios, Inc.  She was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. She continued her education at Southwestern State College and University of Oklahoma. So the story goes- Paul Flick, Jr. used to hitchhike to Clinton to see Dottie on weekends! She married Mr. Paul Flick, Jr. on June 16, 1941 in Clinton.  They made their home in Clinton where they were both involved in the family business, Blunck Studios. She played an active role in Blunck family business, as a photographer and for many years as a Secretary-Treasurer. Paul and Dottie have two sons and one daughter: Gerald Paul Flick, Denny Flick and Dottie Lee Krebbs.  Dottie was a very active member with the First United Methodist Church in both Clinton and Moore, and the Women’s Group as well as the First Presbyterian Women’s Group. She was in charge of the attendance records for many years at Clinton’s First United Methodist Church. She volunteered and did bookkeeping for the Meals on Wheels program. She also enjoyed traveling; she loved to golf and was an accomplished airplane pilot. She was a lifetime member of the Professional Photographers of Oklahoma. Dottie was a person of exceptional faith and love. She met personal tragedies and difficulties with confidence and steadfast belief that God was in control and had the power to change lives. She loved reading the Bible and helping others to become aware of God’s grace. She was devoted to her husband and family and she always put the needs of other people above her own throughout her life. Beloved by all who knew her, Dottie Flick’s memory will live on through the generations. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
